Urgent Care - there is nothing urgent about this. We came in literally in pain, doubled over. No one cared, in fact the two health care receptionists seemed bothered that they had to talk to us. Is there a training video? Do they intentionally hire the coldest people they can find who are put out and treat you haughtily whilst you are in pain and suffering? I am going to say yes. They were really just gossiping with the security guard the whole time while giving people the most insanely off wait times. We waited twice as long as they quoted while holding on to a potentially broken arm. Everyone else got called before us, everyone. How was everyone else's emergency worse than ours? Not offered Advil, not offered ice, not offered NOTHING for two hours. Outrageous gap in care. We came straight here from the scene of the injury, I had no ice or Advil on me. My son had to sit in pain while those who came in after us with their UTI, and cough, which was a greater emergency, were called first. And we were given a one hour wait and waited two hours. In pain, without so much as an ice bag. I tried to complain a little bit and the nurse was like, it wasn't me, I just got here. Ok... but can you help us now? Do we have to beg? Is this all just deflection? This isn't about YOU, people are hurt and PAMF does not care.

We have been with Palo Alto Medical Foundation in Santa Cruz for 15 years, and our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The level of care and professionalism from the staff has consistently met our expectations. Dr. Block, Dr. Sidell, and Dr. Mauff are truly exceptional doctors. They go above and beyond for their patients, taking the time to listen, explain, and provide the best possible care. Their expertise and compassionate approach make all the difference, and we feel fortunate to have them as part of our healthcare team. One challenge with PAMF is that they are so overwhelmed with patients that it can take a long time to get an appointment unless you're already an established patient. However, I'm grateful for the opportunity to continue seeing these amazing doctors for my youngest children and for the smooth onboarding process for the new kiddos. While no medical organization is perfect, these doctors have been a reliable and trusted provider for our family over the years. We appreciate the quality of care we've received and highly recommend these outstanding doctors to anyone looking for dedicated and knowledgeable medical professionals.

I have been trying to obtain primary care from this institution since early December, 2022. They gave me an appointment for mid February, but they cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. They are now offering me a new appointment for May, 2023. Six months of wait to access primary care seems excessive. Is this the norm for this place?

I am so sick of the lack of responsiveness and high prices of this group. I hate that they have such a monopoly in Santa Cruz. I have raging cystitis and have not been able to get my prescription refilled or had an opportunity to talk with an advice nurse, after being told that I would be called back yesterday. GRRRRRR. And as an HSA holder, I can NEVER get a quote on what a service may cost. Even when I call billing. they can't tell me what things will cost. What a mess.

We had to come here for an unexpected medical visit. They were great and got us on our way. They who worked out some insurance issues because we are from out of the state. Great place .
