Patient
If I could give 0 stars I would. My father died several times on the operating table for a stent and was put on full life support without our knowledge and we waited 3 hours beyond the time originally given us, in waiting room and were given run around when attempted to find out status. Finally met with the doctor who told us about his crashing and status. We asked to have him removed from life support and he agreed, but we asked for an hour to bring my mother to hospital. He agreed. When we brought her back he had left the hospital and staff told us they would not remove him from support. Doctor was not responding, per staff, to calls. Took 3 days to have him removed due to an ombudsman, who just happened to be walking thru CCU. Death certificate stated he had early alzheimer's dementia. He was 90!!! If this was true, why did he operate on my father without discussing with family. My father was in no position to give permission. This took place in 2010 and has bothered me every day since.
