Patient
Dr Levy is a rare breed. Great doctor, great man. He was at UCLA and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center during residency. You might think he's arrogant, but he's simply seen a lot over the years. He works with some intense cases, law enforcement, Fire, etc. He's been extremely helpful with my hypertension that comes from PTSD. I was tough to treat, I'm pretty emotional, have an amputation, other injuries... He is sensitive, usually calm pretty happy guy. He works hard for his patients, and puts his heart into his work. The front desk is great, you might get a short answer sometimes but they are pretty busy working for their patients. The city of SF recognizes him as a top-level cardiologist. I've know him for years, and have had plenty of bad doctors, only a few good ones. If your doing an evaluation with him I expect he's fair, and will work to help anyone get the care the need. I'm lucky to have him as a provider. Levy is one of the best of the 30 MD's (no joke,) I've had since my injury. His reports are well written. He takes time with patients. Your heart health and BP is complicated. Levy is knowledgeable about many conditions and their effect on blood pressure. He almost always brings my BP down just talking to me. He has been a very patient doctor, and employees a very caring staff. I've been fed and given a blanket to take a little nap when I arrive upset (and my BP is frigen crazy high.) What doc does that?!? But be aware there is very little parking. It's a very busy area with lots of traffic. The roads are rough and unlevel. There is no handicapped parking except for across the street at the busy shopping center. If you have trouble walking or use a mobility device you might want to get dropped off, or even take the California Street bus that drops you right at the front door. (If you can handle the bus system, lol.) M.D. MD Dr Internal cardiologist San Francisco
