Following admission to the hospital from the Emergency Department there is usually no, or little, choice as to which hospitalist and which specialists end up managing one's care. I count myself among the very fortunate as all three of the cardiology team members who treated me at UCSF Parnassus provided excellent care. Dr. Fleischmann not only provided excellent care, she also took the time to answer my (many) questions, and coordinated my continuing care with my out patient cardiologist. In a perfect world every specialist would do this consistently. To have this level of care, in a Top 10 teaching hospital, over a weekend, was beyond my expectations.
