Dr. James Mailhot, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Mailhot for over 3 years. He has been very thorough and knowledgeable. He has adjusted my heart medications very effectively.

Very sweet doctor but wish they understood the adverse reactions from the c jab. I felt dismissed a bit. The only thing they recommend is to download an app to monitor your heart rate and exercise. They cleared me to live a normal life but I still encountered severe chest pain and shortness of breath. I switched insurance carriers and hope for the best with my new doctor.

I'm disappointed UCSF, I typically support you 100%. Now I get a cardiologist who can not answer my questions and can only recommend diet and exercise after over a 3 month wait and via video. James Mailhot has significantly subpar communication skills let alone skills to be a cardiologist. He did not listen to the concerns about medication side effects, merely recommending taking them at a different hour and following up in a month, nor any concern with the structure of my heart despite all the testing done which he did not address. He simply seemed to not comprehend our conversation, and the audacity to tell me I have to wait because he's driving the bus. He is very unprofessional, and falsified statements in my medical records. UCSF seems to be increasingly more concerned with profits over health. I will be filing complaints, including with the medical board.
