San Diego Cardiac Center

I scheduled a stress test and echo cardiogram 3 weeks ago. My insurance company said i didn't need a prior authorization. The day before the test, i received a call from Monica at SD Cardiac Ctr telling me my insurance company now said i did need a prior authorization after all. The main purpose of this review is to recognize the amazing customer service that Monica provided during a 24 hour period. I'm not going to share every detail other than to say that I've interacted with many admin people over the years and i've never experienced the personal attention that Monica provided. I felt it important to alert the San Diego Cardiac Center of such an outstanding individual.

I worked with a research nurse, Diana. She was so pleasant and amazing. She took my concerns and listend and provide be with amazing care and top notch personality. Every phone covbersation you can tell she loves what she does and has really care for the patients. I was going through a stressful time with my cardiac procedures, and she made it all feel a little easier. Her calm and positive attitude helped shift my own outlook, and I'll always be grateful for that. I am thankful to her and the san diego cardiac team for changing my life for the better.

To say the least, Dr. Narula saved my life. He has continuously monitored my health following the procedure. He is very attentive to my concerns when we are communicating. He ranks in the top 1% as for as the many doctors I have had in my life span.

They were unorganized, flaky and I don't want to say dishonest but I got an unexpected bill, that they said, "oh its all good with insurance" and it was not. I have a PPO and I will go somewhere else. I gave them a chance to make it right before I wrote this.

My husband had TAVR surgery with Dr. Narula and the Cardiac Center team recently. He had exceptional care, from the super-friendly front office staff arranging appointments, the conscientious Sharp nursing team who coordinated pre-op and post-op care and of course the medical team. We appreciated Dr. Narula's willingness and the support staff's ability to work with our schedule and "grease the wheels" to get all the necessary approvals in an expedited manner. Both Dr. Narula and the outstanding nursing team went out of their way to relieve my anxiety about the procedure, while providing realistic assessments of the actual risks involved. I especially noted how the front office staff gently handled several older, fragile patients who needed extra explanations or directions, including a few who seemed a bit confused. The staff clearly recognized they needed more explicit instructions, yet they handled them patiently, quietly and professionally. The staff are remarkably upbeat and positive considering the pressures of dealing with a heavy patient load. (I'm sure they could use more help.) We were both impressed with the level and quality of care he received from Dr. Narula and other more specialized cardiologists on their team and definitely recommend the San Diego Cardiac Center to others seeking care.
