Jigar Patel, DO, MD - San Diego Heart Rhythm Center

I am an 83 year old woman with a lifetime of AFIB. Dr Patel prescribed a lifesaver for me - pacemaker and heart ablation. I cannot describe the overwhelming feeling of calm I am experiencing in my entire body. I now have hope for my quality of life in my remaining years. My sincere appreciation to Dr. Bobak Salami who did not give up on me and insisted that I consult with Dr. Patel. Together, they mapped a road to recovery.

Dr. Patel has excellent bedside manner and is a great doctor all around. He really listens to his patients and has empathy and compassion, which unfortunately lacking in a lot of physicians these days. I'd recommend Dr. Patel unreservedly!

Dr Patel seemed like a very nice man, so this is not a review about him, but about the office we're he is a provider. Apparently their heart monitor vendor was having "technical difficulties" which I guess is not their fault, but what I do feel is their fault, is their inability to follow up with the patient once problem was resolved, and maybe even try to schedule them promptly to make up for lost time. Is like nobody cared. Speaking of nobody caring; they were also supposed to request copy of a procedure I had elsewhere and every time I'd call, it was never received. One time one of the young ladies (And aren't they all??) said: "what was that we were supposed to request?". To top it all off, I had a follow up visit scheduled from two months prior, but received a call, it needed to be reschedule due to Doctor being away, which was going to result in an (almost) additional month wait!!! So, I guess too many red flags, will have to go elsewhere...meanwhile, good luck not getting a heart attack!
