I specifically sought out a woman's cardiologist that focus' on women's health. Really disappointed in her bedside manner. Dismissive to the point my primary doctor stepped in to help get me through my current medical needs as she didn't take me seriously, likely because I'm young. Mind you I'm struggling. Told me to do yoga which I already do every day. Really impersonal, has a few very odd staffers. Left me completely uninformed and heart problems are scary for us non doctors. What a surprise. My last visits she didn't even come all the way into the room to sit down with me and chat, she just stood at the door causing me to twist in my chair to talk to her. Not a big deal but the clear lack of any sort of care/respect. Something is wrong with the doctors in San Diego. Except for my primary care, dentist, and eye dr, they have all sucked. Where's the accountability.

Dr Scott did a stress test and said it's all good see you next year. A month later I had Four heart attacks. Thank goodness i was already in the ER when It happened.

Dismissive care. I was referred here by my PCP. I had 3 separate visits to this office, 2 of 3 with Dr. Scott. My experience, beginning with the first appointment, was that of being another patient to cross of her to-do list. Seemed irritated that I wasn't answering her health history questions fast enough. On to the third appointment, which was a treadmill heart stress test. At the end of the test her parting words were "The results look fine. I feel like the treadmill was harder for you than it should be." Then she rambled off something about turmeric as a remedy for inflammation. My patient profile was left open in the room after the treadmill test. While getting dressed, without touching anything, I read the results of my heart ultrasound (from the 2 weeks prior)--"mixed left ventricular hypertrophy." There was no mention of this to me. In fact, she actually began the treadmill appointment by saying the ultrasound looked fine. Whether or not ventricular hypertrophy (thickening of the wall) is common, or easily explained was never broached. Thankful I saw that on the screen. I will seek continued care elsewhere with a different provider.
