Brian Barmettler, MD - Sharp Rees-Stealy Rancho Bernardo

Dr. Bartmettler brought back my trust on primary doctors. He does care about his patients. After 5 years under his treatment, I had a bad fall that compromised my neck and head. He made sure that I had the proper tests run stat so we could rule out any potential life threatening damage. He clearly explains the hows a whys of each approach for those who need the additional info. He is honest with himself and you and knows when to request a second opinion. If you are doubting, he is the one for you and your family. Thank you Doc!!

Dr Barmettler has been my primary care physician for over 20 years. In addition, he has provided care to my family members and those that I referred to him. He is the most compassionate and competent physician. I highly recommend him.

Posted something on here before but it wasn't directly to Dr. B. I want to tell you about my terrible experience with you. I had been a patient of yours for years. How YOU and your little helper basically made me out to be an addict trying to get pain meds and not able to refer me to a legitimate pain management. Your little helper had even mentioned in a referral to a pain management doctor, that my intention was trying to get drugs. He told me so over the phone! You knew exactly what happened to me with my motorcycle accident and failed fusion and needing to get another fusion and waiting in complete and utter pain! My neurosurgeon told me I should change doctors what a concept! I am so grateful that I switched over to Dr. Basali! UHC in Ranch Bernardo. She was able to prescribe for me on my first visit what I needed! She then referred me to a pain doctor who also gave me a prescription for my pain! Your lack of service and care we're non existent! I am SO GRATEFUL I left you! Do Better! By the way I had a successful back fusion( second one) and was only on narcotics for 2 weeks! I'm not a drug addict or trying to score drugs!

So far I've only seen Dr. Barmettler three times, but it's already become very clear that he sincerely and genuinely cares about his patients. Not the type to simply push a prescription on you that may do more harm than good, Dr. Barmettler will make sure to get to the underlying cause of your health issues and ensure that your treatment really is in your best interests. He is also great about taking the time to explain everything and to make sure that you are satisfied with your experience. I wish all doctors were like this.

I look forward to seeing Dr Barmettler. He's concerned about me and my issues and makes it easy to talk about them. At the same time he doesn't back off from telling me what is Up. He is proud of Sharp and makes me feel confident in the care I get there.
