Patient
Ten years ago, I needed a good cardiologist. My Primary Care doctor at the time, whom I greatly respected, told me, "That's easy. You need to see Dr. Sethi." I will always be grateful to her for that advice. I was immediately impressed with Dr. Prabhdeep Sethi, concluding that he was someone special in his profession. I quickly learned that in addition to all the obvious attributes we look for in good doctors, he was unusually wise and an exceptional communicator. He was always patient and thorough in explaining things to me, and he somehow made me feel as though my welfare was of great importance to him. As to his experience, a few years ago, he informed me that my aortic valve was failing and in need of replacement. He explained that while open heart surgery was traditionally required to accomplish this, a relatively new, minimally invasive procedure was gaining recognition in his profession. He said that the TAVR valve replacement procedure had been successfully employed at his hospital, St. Bernadine in San Bernardino, about 500 times. I asked him how many of those 500 cases he had participated in. His answer? "Five hundred." A few weeks later, through a TAVR catheter, he installed in my heart a new artificial aortic valve that works perfectly. It laid me up all of one day. During the past decade, Dr. Sethi has successfully dealt with a variety of my serious, heart-related issues, and I have always felt that I was being treated by the very best of the best. I can therefore, without reservation, offer my highest recommendation for this great doctor. You will not find a better cardiologist. I should mention also that his office staff at Pulse Cardiology, including Alejandra, his personal nurse, are first rate, friendly and efficient, and they often go out of their way to help me. Five stars to all of them.
