Patient
I am really torn about this facility. I experienced great service from the front desk, to the techs, to the doctor. Parking is great. Interior and exterior are clean and safe. I felt respected and taken care of. I had ultrasounds of my heart and veins, stress tests, and a few procedures. It was great. That is until I was notified, after hours, that my next procedure, the third of six scheduled, was being canceled. They said it was because my insurance hadn't paid. And that they were canceling all of the appointments with everyone who used that insurance. So I called my insurance. Nope, they paid. So then I called H&VCofA's billing and got them on a three way call with my insurance. Everyone agreed that everything had been paid. So then I had to wait to see what Edward was going to say, their person in charge of Certification, if I remember that title correctly. I started today at 8 AM with a phone call and no one had heard back from him apparently until after 4. But they still didn't know what quiet was going on and I needed to call the insurance company that pays for the specialty things. So I call them. They confirm they have paid everything and that the relationship is fine and they can see no reason why a procedure would be canceled. And eventually I get a call back from my insurance saying that H&VCofA is just no longer working with the insurance company I have. I am furious as we are, literally 1/3 of the way through a series of procedures that significantly improves my quality of life. The professional thing to do would have been to no longer take on any new patients with that insurance, finish the procedures they were committed to doing with their current patients, and refer out any new procedures. It is painfully obvious that while the staff is absolutely top notch, the people behind the scenes, who don't interact with the actual people their facility is helping, care very little for their patients. I am disgusted by this treatment. I am so sorry that such an amazing team of medical professionals are supported by shortsighted and uncaring back office staff.
