I accompanied my son to his surgical consultation. He was very nervous and overwhelmed. Dr. Healy was amazing! He was very attentive and patient with my son. I was really impressed and grateful for his excellent bedside manner. From there, the Nurse, Surgery Scheduler, and office staff were awesome too. Our visit in total was about 3 hours. I thought it was so kind for the surgery scheduler to share a related personal story that was very reassuring. The Nurse explained the entire process, made sure all of our questions were answered, took the time to ensure no question was left unanswered.

To anyone reading this: In January of this year, my father had open-heart surgery. Dr. Healey was his cardiothoracic surgeon and the lead doctor overseeing his care. I want to share that he is an exceptional physician. Because of his expertise, my father made a full recovery. Within four months, he was fully healed and now has a second chance at life. We are incredibly grateful. I honestly do not believe my father would be here today without Dr. Healey's skill. If you or someone you love is preparing for surgery with him, I hope this gives you peace of mind. You know a physician is truly good when they are confident, kind, check in regularly, answer questions honestly and treat patients with respect. There is something I want to mention from a personal experience. I was listed as my father's authorized representative, so I felt it was my responsibility to learn about all treatment options. Sutter Sacramento performs many heart surgeries every year, and the surgery they used for my father was the standard approach. At the time, I had read that some UC Davis hospitals were using a laparoscopic CABG procedure. When I asked Dr. Healey about it, he did not seem offended or dismissive. Instead, he took the time to explain his reasoning and why the surgery performed at Sutter was the safest option for my father. It takes real confidence and humility for a doctor to respond that way. I really appreciated it. Given how quickly my father recovered and how he now says he feels 30 years younger, Dr. Healey was absolutely right. From what I understand, he has performed many of these surgeries, and trust me, when it comes to your loved one, you want someone with that level of experience taking care of them. Thank you, Dr. Healey. May you continue to receive many blessings for all the hearts you care for and save.

I saw Dr. Healy yesterday, and was very impressed. He was very patient in explaining everything that was going to happen to me. He understood my concerns, and had a lot of knowledge in his specialized field. His staff is very helpful and they had materials to send home with me to refer to. Also a new video. If I have to have this surgery, I'm glad he's my surgeon.

Dr Healy treated me to a cordial, informational conversation that lasted nearly an hour. At no time did he appear anxious to leave or stop listening. His explanations of why I needed surgery were excellent, understandable and delivered without fervor or compulsion on my part to obey and follow his version. He took the time to explain all options available and likely results. If you, as I did, need someone who works with you instead of telling you what you'll do, then Dr Healy is your guy. From all reports he is also a fine surgeon who excels within his field, I can recommend him without reservation. I am very glad to be able to put my life enhancing surgery in his capable hands. Having triple bypass surgery is not a choice we wish to make so it is very good to have someone you trust able to save your life and improve the remainder you have left. Dr.Healy is The Best, Great Bedside manner,friendly makes sure he cover's all questions and aspects before you leave. I know my surgery is being done by the best.
