Dr. Ricky P. Tang, MD

Dr. Tang, first of all, is more diligent in the medical testing he will ask you to get after the first visit than most doctors are. He was the first doctor in my life to ever test my calcium levels, which turned up quite high. I have a rare condition which took quite some time before and after a referral to UCLA specialists to diagnose correctly, but throughout the 3 1/2 years that took, he very patiently and firmly managed the referrals I needed until I got the answers I needed. Such diligence is just what we need in a primary care doctor. I may not be able to see him anymore, due to a change in insurance, but if you can see him you should.

My experience has been very subpar with his office. They can not get prescriptions right after several months, leaving me with out meds for several days to weeks at a time. Can never get a hold of them, does not return calls when they do mess up medications. I had to take time off work to go down to his office, still couldn't talk to him had to talk to his nurse. If you have any prescriptions that are critical to your health I would look elsewhere

Dr. Tang became my doctor when stephen colluci retired and has done a wonderful job. He's smart, attentive and really cares about his patients. He listens to questions and concerns of his patients and I trust his medical judgement and advice which is a big thing coming from someone who distrusts the medical field as much as I do. He's a woman derful man and a brilliant doctor.

Don't trust him with your health. He screamed at me over paperwork for my EDD that he didn't want to do for me as requested. He is too busy just concerned about how many patients he can see without caring. I reported him to his medical director Wendy at Riverside Medical Clinic for this and for not being timely on responding to my messages.
