Patient
Dear Pomona Valley Hospital Authority, I'm writing to express both my gratitude and concerns regarding my father's recent stay at your hospital. He underwent heart bypass surgery, which was successful, and I appreciate the excellent care provided by the CVICU staff. However, since his transfer to the Tele Ward, we've encountered significant challenges. When my father needs assistance, we often have to call multiple times, and it takes over 20 minutes for staff to respond. This delay has been distressing for both him and our family. A particular concern arose today when I noticed my father's hair was dirty and had dandruff due to not being washed for 20 days. When I requested help from a staff member named Lorena, I was informed that they didn't have the necessary supplies. I understand that not all hospitals may have shower head caps, but alternative care should be provided to maintain patient dignity and hygiene. I believe that most staff members are dedicated professionals, but the actions of some are impacting the hospital's reputation. Your institution deserves a 5-star review, but the inconsistent care in the Tele Ward is preventing that. I hope you will address these concerns and take necessary steps to improve patient care. Sincerely, Sam
