Kelly-Dokubo Iduama MD

Dr Kelly- Dokubo is a very smart doctor, very knowledgeable in medicine generally but especially as a cardiologist. He has been my cardiologist for over ten years and he has kept me out of trouble. He is a very compassionate MD. He takes his practice seriously. Thank you Dr. Kelly--Dokubo.

I was recently referred to Dr. Iduama Kelly-Dokubo for a cardiology consultation in September 2022, shortly after undergoing open-heart surgery at Huntington Hospital in June 2022. This doctor was unprofessional, rude, and condescending. Despite having a valid authorization and referral, and despite his staff checking my vitals and completing an EKG, Dr. Kelly-Dokubo refused to provide treatment or accept me as a patient. He explicitly stated, "I am not your doctor." The most critical failure was the lack of communication from his office. His staff failed to contact me before my scheduled appointment to inform me that he would not be treating me, despite having the referral a month in advance. This refusal to treat created a dangerous gap in my post-operative cardiology care during a critical period (September 2022 to December 2022) following my complex heart surgery. I do not recommend this physician to anyone seeking professional, reliable, or compassionate cardiology care.

One of the best cardiologists in California. I trust his decisions and professionalism. During surgery he made sure I was taken care of.
