Dear Stanford I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my concern and frustration regarding the recent difficulty I've encountered in scheduling a doctor's appointment. Despite my attempts to secure an appointment, I have been unable to do so, and this has left me feeling anxious about my health and well-being. I understand the demands on your schedule but would greatly appreciate your assistance in finding a suitable time for me to meet with you. My health is of utmost importance to me, and I believe a timely consultation would be beneficial. If there are any specific reasons for the scheduling challenges, I would be grateful for an explanation. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to your prompt response. This place is run by part-time cardiologists who moonlight as part-time used car salesmen. You will leave with a bill for 10's of thousands for tests you didn't know about and no explanation why. Also, prepare for your health problems to persist and nobody to call you, or for you to be able to contact anyone on staff yourself. They hide in a murky voicemail and nursing jungle where nobody can let you speak to anyone you saw for care. It's outrageous. Stanford Cardiology? No way... You will be convinced you're at Phoenix Online Tick-Tock Heart Center.

I was seen by a number of staff persons in the Stanford Cardiology Department, today, June 2, 2017 for an examination of a heart murmur that was recently detected by my primary care physician. The coordination between the echo lab and the cardio department was exceptionally smooth, and clearly demonstrated the care and expertise that these individuals provided me: --- Dawn and Vanessa: Cardio Reception --- Robert Drews: Echo Lab --- Mary Nejedly, PA: Cardiology Dept Please share the above remarks of mine with ALL your staff, especially including those I mentioned by name!

They won't tell you how much something will cost or explain why a certain diagnostic is being used. I received an unnecessary Doppler echocardiogram, which normally costs $300-600, for over $8,000. I won't be returning.
