My father was admitted to Desert Regional Medical Center after a fall that left him with a broken hip, along with atrial fibrillation. From the moment we arrived, I could see the care and compassion that the staff poured into looking after him, and for that I will always be grateful. I want to especially thank RN Stephanie on the fourth floor. She was such a blessing to us--so caring, so patient, and so giving. She treated my father with dignity and warmth, and her presence made such a difficult time feel a little lighter. Evan also came around to check on us and make sure everything was running smoothly, and I thought it was wonderful how committed he was to ensuring the staff were working well together. The caseworker we met was also incredibly kind and took the time to really listen to all of my worries, which meant so much when I was feeling overwhelmed. There was one hard moment during an x-ray procedure where my father was in a lot of pain, and that was difficult to see. But I also want to acknowledge the traveling radiology technician who later came--his care and gentleness showed me what a difference compassion makes, even in routine procedures. I stayed with my father day and night while he was at Desert Regional, and I saw firsthand how kindly he was treated. Sadly, after transferring to a skilled nursing facility, my father passed away just a few days later. While my heart is heavy with that loss, I will never forget the way the team here cared for him with respect, kindness, and humanity. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the love and care you showed my father in his final days. It truly meant the world to us.

This is for the L&D department: Had my 2nd birth here this last Monday and I need to let everyone know how wonderful it was. From the triage nurses to the doctors, it was the best experience I could have asked for. Every single staff member here had compassion, professionalism, loving care, and so much more. To name just a few (that I can really remember) is Keisha, Kayla, Dr. Elwan, Kristine, Sheila, Roda, and everyone else who took care of us, THANK YOU. So happy to be home, happy & healthy, with my newborn. Thank you for your amazing work.

So the care at this facility is OK. My mother came in because she fell and broke her hip. It will get immediate right then by ambulance specialist were seen and she had surgery the next morning. That was a good part. Now for the completely disappointing part, my mom was in room 3432 and you wanna talk about a maintenance nightmare You called the nurse the TV turns off the nurse answers the TV turns on You gotta use any of the electrical outlets. We need to work in the whole room. The oxygen are vacuum for the piss extraction did not work most of the time The sink inside the room was constantly dripping and leaking to a point where it sound like a running faucet the whole time she was in here just constantly leaking and dripping Privacy curtain was messed up to wear. Most of the curtain was fallen off just a complete real lack of maintenance in this room that just goes to share the CARE to attention has really fallen off this hospital. The wick unit does not work and 1 BED PAN really for my senior mom who can't even walk or bear weight she has one bed pan and today they gave her a bottle of stool be gone basically a stool flushed for people who take a lot of pain meds because your system get backed up well here we are at night my wife and I are in the room physically having to change the bed pan having to wash out shit because nobody's available. We've had to do it now three times in the hospital on fourth floor. This is absolute bullshit. I cannot wait to complain to the state cannot wait to complain to everybody about this. This is absolutely asinine. Now my family has a lot of experience here. All three of my children were born in this hospital 19 years plus ago I lived in this hospital for 7 1/2 months when I got injured from a heavy equipment accident I lived in the rehab department for 7.5 months 14 years ago and all I gotta say is the people that are managing it now before running it now or doing a horrible job they're short staffed. Everybody here seems the doesn't matter what floor it's on. Nobody wants to do the job. It's always somebody else's Job and it's just sad. Truly is sad. If I would've had a choice, I would've gone to Loma Linda or somewhere out of area, this is definitely dry sad GREAT JOB TENATE PROFFIT OVER PEOPLE GOOD JOB

A hospital stay is not supposed to be a vacation, but this place is about as close as you can get to being one. Dr Phan, Dr. Farsad, and numerous others, provided me with some significant comfort. I love the diversity and the kindness. I want to thank you all. I spent three weeks there, awaiting diagnostics before a very successful surgery was performed. I wish that I could remember all the names of the kind people that cared for me. Oh, and by the way, the food is great. :)
