I am Korean and I was introduced to Dr. Tomas Kim through Korean Dr. James Lee because I was suffering from severe acute heart disease. As I needed Dr. Kim's treatment, I waited as long as five months. However, when I arrived at the hospital on the day of my treatment five months later, I was suddenly notified that my appointment had been postponed to one month later. I asked the reason, but there was no exact reason. At the time, I was embarrassed and angry, and I decided to file a lawsuit, but I accepted the treatment a month later with the advice of Dr. James Lee, who introduced me to Dr. Kim. For the past five months, I have suffered from my illness. But I endured the pain for another month with the hope of seeing him. The appointment was scheduled for 9 p.m. on September 11, 2024, but a day earlier, at 5 p.m. on September 10, I received a belated and incomprehensible notification from the hospital that I should arrive 45 minutes before the appointment. This notification was unilaterally notified the day before(just 15hours before), even though it was natural to tell me about that "on the day the reservation was postponed." When I got call from hospital, I said that because of riding my kid to school, it is difficult to arrive by then, and I will do my best to get there quickly. On the day of the consultation, I arrived at the clinic before 8:50am and was told, absurdly, that the consultation was not possible today. I've been waiting 5 months with serious heart disease, and an additional 1 month with unreasonable rejection and postponement... When I was told I had to wait another month, I was so angry that I started to argue, and the manager ran out and pushed me outside. I told the manager, "I waited five months with serious illness, and you guys put up with the postponement of my consent or agreement, and I waited another month... It's abnormal and unconventional that I told you yesterday that your appointment should be 45 minutes before your appointment, but it's the violation of "fiduciary duty and duty information." He asked if it was common sense and normal to wait another month. The manager offered to introduce me to another Cardiologist. I refused, "If I was going to meet another Doctor, I would not have waited long without your help," and also, "I was introduced by Dr. Kim, not another Cardiologist." Then the manager keeps waiting for another month. I asked him to make a reservation within this week, but the manager says no. So the last thing I can do is to sue your hospital, your staff, and Dr. Kim. Then the manager said, "Then you can't see Dr. Kim anymore, so you just threatened to take my appointment a month later." I contacted the lawyer, and I plan to file a lawsuit against the hospital, the staff, Dr. Kim. Appointment contains the meaning of "Consent or Agreement both side between your hospital and patients" But your employees and hospital didn't get any consent when you postponed x-appointment, and even this appointment... when you set what day, what time, there are now my consent or agreement. Even if I just follow your postponed-appointment, not my appointment, you didn't give me any enough information and enough time about advance information like 45 min earlier. Which means, you didn't have appropriate consent from me. You may know it's strong violence against patients who have serious disease like cardiology problems. I remember all employees' name, but I will not mention here because I will sue every employees who didn't give me enough and advance information before appropriate time.

I researched the heck out of all cardiologists in orange county for my dad, and Dr. Kim emerged head and shoulders above the rest. My experience with his office, his staff, and him personally during appointments with my father have shown him to be caring, focused, Knowledgeable and effective in his treatment of my dad for the past five years. In fact, I recommended him to my brother recently.

I don't understand the bad review I see about Dr. Kim??? My experience is nothing but best. Dr. Kim is my mom cardiologist for over 8 years now and he is and always has been such a wonderful person, kind and gentle with my mom. Always answer all her questions even same questions she asked before. I had to give my review because he doesn't deserve anything but 5 stars. Thank you for everything for all these years with my mom.

Staff seems a bit confused and overwhelmed. Have only met Dr .Kim twice and have no real basis for comparing him to other cardiologists. Based on my experience trying to get prescriptions refilled, make appointments, prep for procedures, and talk to someone who understands my need, I gave the office a 1 star rating.

The staff does not do their "paperwork" until the last minute. I had an angiogram scheduled more than a month in advance. They did not check to see if I needed prior authorization from my insurance company until the DAY before the procedure! It took 2 months to reschedule. Thank heavens I had no adverse consequences because of the delay. In another instance, I was scheduled to see the PA, no body asked to see if I had seen her before. They require a 30 min. appointment the first time you see her. AGAIN it was the day before they figured out I would need more time than they scheduled. The doctor must know his staff does things at the last minute.
