My mom and I are patients of Dr John Chiu. He is very thorough and reviews all our medications and lab results every visit.. We get heart ultrasound every 2 or 3 years to keep an eye of the heart function and structure patency. His office staff are kind and helpful. It is very easy to schedule appointments. He has been our cardiologist for the last 10 years. We love him.
Dr. Chiu is a supremely qualifed cardiologist whom I am most fortunate to have as my cardiovascular surgeon and regular cardiologist. He really knows his stuff and is dedicated to his patient health and well being. On top of that, he is very personable and friendly. Dr. Chiu did my challenging cardiovascular surgery in February 2025 with a smooth surgical experience and excellent results. He has my highest recommendation.
It took me no time to check in 15 minutes before my appointment as scheduled. Almost immediately, I was taken in to a room and quickly my weight and blood pressure were checked. Then Dr Chiu came in just about a minute later and went over everything regarding my condition. He then told me to make my next appointment for about six months later. I left the room, went to the desk where I checked in and my next appointment was made without any delay. Dr Chiu and his staff are fantastic.
I saw Dr. Chui for a complex coronary intervention consultation. He provided thoughtul guidance, and spent the time to carefully explain my options and provided a balanced perspective of the possible benefits and related risks of the procedure. I am appreciative of his care, as well as that provided by the rest of the team at Sutter Cardiology. Top notch.
John Chiu is my cardiologist since 2019 when I was admitted to Sutter Alta Bates hospital after a visit to their ED. I was admitted for a cath lab procedure to check for blockage in my arteries. Doctor Chui was able to insert two stents during my cath lab procedure to open up two blocked arteries, one was blocked 70% the other was blocked 90%. All this was done using the artery on my right wrist. My recovery and follow up care has been excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Chui and Sutter Health.
