My son Billy had been sick for almost a year, he's only 33 yrs old. His doctors finally found an infection in his blood. That infection went to his Aortic valve. The doctors at the hospital wanted Billy to be on 6 weeks of antibiotics, then have surgery to replace the valve. Dr. Soltero didn't want to wait. His concern was that the infection on the valve could break off and go to the brain. He explained the surgery to us, in away that we could understand the procedure. He was not only a great surgeon for my son, he was great with me. You know how some docs have terrible "bedside manners" Dr. Soltero is nothing like that. I would recommend him to everyone. Thank you Dr. Soltero for saving my son.

While Dt Yasuda removed a cancerous tumor from my lung and Dr. Soltero fixed a pneumothorax lung collapse shortly after, the follow up with this surgical group is awful. Recovering from cancer surgery is difficult, especially when a portion of the lung is removed. I then had complications following the surgery and they couldn't care less. I was basically told to accept the unexpected pain as my new reality and "Im sorry- you're welcome. That meant Im sorry you have severe pain but you're welcome that the cancer is gone. The aftermath of cancer surgery is a scary time and when the surgeons who you worked with don't care what happens to you, don't recommend anything for you and just tell you to " accept your lot in life if you didn't fully recover " it says some very bad things about them. I am grateful the cancer is gone but I wish I had chosen surgeons who cared.
