Sutter Health Mountain View Center Pediatric Urgent Care

The 1 stars here are totally not fair. It seems like people have a singular bad experience and they run to complain, but those that have a good experience are silent. I will also say that I went to other non sutter health urgent cares, and this one is by far better. We have gone to this urgent care with kids with fever 3 times in the last few months. The reception was great, the doctors were great, all of them. Once we had pneumonia, they diagnosed and gave the correct antibiotics, but they didn't give them when unnecessary. Once we came in a "walk in" were told we will wait 1:45 hr, which really sucks right? we went in and out, went to get food out, and were back home before this time came. I really like this place and I think it really doesn't deserve this low stars it has.

We usually have good experience at Sutter medical centers. However, we had a very bad experience recently with Dr. Margaret Lau in the pediatrics urgent care. She seems to have anger issues and is very insensitive and unprofessional with crying infants.

I love the option of scheduling an appointment, when you're lucky enough to get one. I appreciate that there's a movie in the waiting area which helps a lot when kids need to wait. The nurses and doctors have all been very kind at every visit we've had. I actually find that their pediatricians are some of the kindest I've encountered!

I am absolutely appalled by this pediatric urgent care. I brought my toddler in because she had been coughing for two weeks. Instead of providing any meaningful resolution or treatment, the doctor told me to "keep doing what you're doing". If you're going to call yourself a medical professional, at least offer basic care! On top of this, they insisted on performing both RSV and COVID tests, even though they admitted that neither test would change the course of treatment (according to them there isn't any treatment). Why subject a sick child to unnecessary nasal swabs when they provide no tangible benefit? I guess apart from a longer medical bill. What enrages me the most is the danger their negligence created for my family. Without addressing my toddler's illness, she was sent home still coughing and is now at risk of infecting my 1-week-old baby. This clinic didn't just waste my time and money--they actively jeopardized my newborn's health through their failure to act responsibly. This place is an insult to the concept of urgent care. Their lack of professionalism, compassion, and basic medical competence is shocking.

We were treated in a timely manner. Didn't have to wait for a long time. The attending doctors and the nurses were good. Took good care. But make sure to take an appointment by phone or other means if possible, before going. That makes things even easier.
