I was hospitalized at El Camino Hospital Emergency with severe asthma flare with possible lung infection in late November 2025. It left me severely debilitated and extremely nervous about my health. Following my recovery and release from the hospital, I saw Dr. Matthew Chin, who had been my PCP for a couple of years. In this particular visit, I found Dr. Chin to be compassionate, kind, reassuring and helpful. He took the time to explain my illness, treatments undertaken at the hospital, and my recovery process. He assured me that he would be there all the way until I was fully healed, and I whole heartedly agreed to his plans. He immediately ordered some important follow-up blood tests to assess how my recovery was going in the convalescence stage. Furthermore, he messaged me to explain the results as soon as they were available, and the path to fully recovery.
