Dr. Carlos M. Alves, MD

My developmentally disabled brother's cardiologist diagnosed him with afib earlier this year and recommended that we see Dr. Alves as soon as possible. Though quite in demand, Dr. Alves was able to fit my brother into his schedule and very quickly had him in for an ablation. I found Dr. Alves to be very kind and understanding to my brother and though he's quite busy, he took great care to make sure that both of us understood the procedure. I found him and his office to be responsive and professional, and at all times thoughtful to and understanding of a patient with special needs.

Today, our family had the privilege of benefitting from Dr. Alves' knowledge and surgical skill. He sucessfully performed a procedure, previously deemed too risky, on my father-in-law. The community is incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Alves as a resource in clinical cardio electrophysiology healthcare. Our family is thankful beyond words.

Dr. Alves is very a caring, personable and incredibly talented Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist. He has earned quite the respect from the hospital staff and colleagues in the medical field as a whole. I was in atrial flutter, at the hospital, and Dr. Alves happened to walk by between surgeries while I was undergoing some tests. Going way above and beyond (more than I can share here), he reviewed everything right then and wanted to preform an unscheduled cardioversion. He pulled a team together in 30 minutes and this was not in the ER. He's performed two Ablations and several Cardioversions on me over the last few years and each time he made my wife and I feel very comfortable and confident about the procedures and expectations.

I have been seeing Dr Carlos Alves for many years. I have received nothing but the best in courtesy from his staff as well as from him. Additionally, the medical treatment that I have been receiving from Dr Carlos Alves and his staff has been of the highest quality. I highly recommend Dr Carlos Alves.

I have suffered for 7 years since enduring a failed ablation without anaesthesia (contrary to my wishes) so this doctor could use me to test a new system/equipment. It felt like having 6 heart attacks, each worse than the previous as he kept increasing the heart stimulating drug dose given to me by IV. There were salesmen in the Cath lab. He left the nurse to remove the heart Cath even though she had never done so before. I was diagnosed with PTSD from this experience. In addition the stress on my heart caused me to have an ascending Aortic anneur yam requiring open heart surgical repair. RUN, DONT WALK, he is evil.
