Dr. Edward L. Auen, MD

Needs to retire if he does not speak to his front office in at least answering their phone and returning calls. I saw all the recent complaints and spoke with office manager after phone call attempts and just received recording. No one is on call either in which she was upfront about. 76 years old he can't go on forever. Just retire. Enjoy your cabin and don't let the front office keep you in practice for esthetic procedures to make them money.

My parents have gone to Dr. Auen for over 20 years. In the past year since I have assisted them with their medical care, I have noticed that Dr. Auen does not want to give options or alternatives, just want to prescribe medications. He never followed up to see that the medications prescribed were working, nor discussed test results after receiving them with my parents. He even refused to give referrals when other physicians recommended seeing a specialist. Dr. Auen seems to play God with the lives of minorities. Seeming to know what is best for the patient without considering the patient's or their families recommendations for their care. With Dr. Auen's substandard care, I noticed that my parents health has declined over the years. He has made life and death decisions about the care of my parents (possibly others) based on his personal belief and not following, The Hippocratic Oath that says "treat the sick to the best of one's ability" and "first, do no harm". We have made a decision as a family to terminate his service. Currently I could not recommend Dr. Auen services to anyone. I can't even rate him because he does not deserve it (in order to post I had to choose 1 star). The office staff were very professional and friendly. We thank them (the staff) for their years of service. BEWARE!

As a former patient myself I feel this is nothing but a glorified pill mill. Over 5 years ago I notified (for the 2nd time) Dr Auen and his office that my mom was abusing his prescriptions and they were incredibly too potent/frequent for her. After years of continued abuse on his prescriptions and him continuing to fill them; she finally had her breakdown and the newest OD that landed her 2 days ago on 5150 suicide watch strapped to a bed at Drs medical center. When I called Dr auen directly he said he would come down but I waited all day and he never showed. As a former patient myself, it is my personal opinion that this place needs to be shut down and Dr Auen should be dragged out in handcuffs for malpractice.

I've been seeing Dr. Auen for well over 25+ years, so I feel as if I know him fairly well! * Is he a doctor that's very concerned about his patients? Absolutely! * Does he always attempt to get his patients the best care available? Absolutely! * Does he carefully listen to his patients? Yes, very much so! * Is his demeanor one of being friendly, talkative and extremely professional? Absolutely! * Will he be upset if you fail to do those things you both agree to do in attaining better health? Absolutely!!! Does he have the BEST nursing & office staff around? Yes!!! Faye(sp?), Melissa & Chrissy(sp?) are about as good as they get! They ALL are extremely friendly, yet very efficient and professional! I know that everyone has their opinion, but I have mind backed up with 25+ years of experience! To those that have gotten to this far into the review, I want to thank you, for obviously you read it! Hopefully, it's helped with answering any questions you might've had regarding Dr. Edward Auen!

Everyone deserves to have second chance but Dr Auen which was best Dr , i had done something once by mistake ( which was not illegal ) he kicked me out of his program. After 1 year i went to his office and talked to his nurse, she judgeded me very easy and kicked out me too. Hope Doctors undesrsdand some people accidently go through something. stop being judgmental.
