About Dr. Michael I. Miyamoto, MD
Dr. Miyamoto received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Stanford University where he graduated with Distinction and Departmental Honors. He attended medical school at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He then completed his internal medicine residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston. Following this, he was a clinical and research fellow in Cardiology, Heart Failure and Transplantation at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston. His major research interests are in the areas of cardiology including cardiac risk, preventive cardiology, heart failure, cardiac imaging, coronary artery disease, and more.

The doctor did an incredible kindness for me and my mom. My mom came to visit me and ended up in the ER with severe hand pain. By chance, it was their shift in the emergency department. The vein that the previous doctor couldn't open was treated again, and a stent was placed. I gave them my mom's previous angiogram CD to check, and even though the hospital didn't have a system to read it, they went outside the hospital to review it. Truly, this doctor was the angel God sent to save my mom's life. I will be forever grateful. My guardian angel.
