Dr. Szady has specialized training in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation. Her interests include mechanical circulatory support and pulmonary hypertension. Prior to relocating to Marin County, she was an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Florida where she practiced in the area of advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation. She also served as the medical director of the cardio-oncology program. She has participated in numerous clinical trials, published many articles in peer reviewed journals, and authored book chapters. She currently serves on the editorial board of Cardiology Today.

Dr. Szady is always a great communicator regarding my latest health report, and extremely knowledgeable about what next steps, if any, are needed.I couldn't ask for a better cardiologist to keep me healthy, and trust her care completely. Her staff is also friendly and efficient.
Dr. Szady was welcoming, knowledgeable, engaged. This was a new patient visit and she was already cognizant of my history and my records in three different local systems. In addition to reviewing my pertinent history, Dr. Szady sought out my own concerns and experiences, even going so far as to check my pulse and EKG recordings on my Apple watch. With her knowledge of my records and queries into my concerns, she was, in an initial visit, able to distinguish between areas of concern for follow and areas of benign idiosyncrasies, always making me feel heard and thoughtfully responded to. I was highly pleased with this visit.
Can't say enough positive things about Dr. Szady! Wish more of my physicians had her wonderful "bedside manner"! A great listener, very empathetic and an all-around excellent physician and human being!
