Daniel Burgess, DO

I spent Thanksgiving day in the hospital due to severe abdominal blockage. Despite the unfortunate circumstance, my hospital stay turned out to be a blessing. The care I received from the nurses, staff, and especially Dr. Burgess was exceptional. Dr. Burgess, an amazing surgeon, successfully removed my cancer during the surgery. His skill and expertise allowed me to leave the hospital after just two days. I'm grateful for the ongoing post-care provided by Dr. Burgess and his team. Reflecting on my experience, I realize how fortunate I am to have had Dr. Burgess as my surgeon. I cannot thank him enough for his dedication and expertise. I highly recommend Dr. Burgess.

Dr Schultzel and Dr Burgess both are great doctors. They and their staff patiently answered all of our questions and took great care of us. Dr Burgess used minimally invasive surgery to remove a tumor from my colon (and probably saved my life). While the recovery was no fun, I was able to go home just 5 days after surgery.

Dr Burgess was truly amazing getting me through a very difficult time. His staff was always responsive and helpful. Cassandra, his surgical PA, also went above and beyond to help me with some very difficult situations I was dealing with in my journey. I will definitely recommend them.

A few days before Christmas 2021, I ended up in the ER and needed surgery to have my gallbladder removed. Dr. Burgess was my surgeon and was absolutely amazing! He met me in the ER and walked me through the process and answered all my questions. My surgery was scheduled for the next day and Dr. Burgess came back to check in on how I was feeling about everything. My dad wasn't able to see me after surgery that night so Dr. Burgess called him with an update. He was very patient with all my questions and spent time answering all of them. 6 weeks later, I actually ended up having some complications due to my surgery (at no fault of Dr. Burgess -- just a potential side effect that could happen to anyone). I emailed Dr. Burgess on a Sunday with some symptoms -- expecting a response back the following business day -- but within the hour, Dr. Burgess had seen my email and called me back personally. I am grateful for his quick response! Both follow up appointments I had with Dr. Burgess and all his visits to me in the hospital were very professional and informative. You can tell that Dr. Burgess truly cares about his patients and our wellbeing. I couldn't recommend Dr. Burgess more!!

I had excellent care before and after my surgeries. Dr. Burgess and his entire team were kind, friendly and professional. I am extremely grateful and pleased with the care I received.
