After 4 or more years of ER visits to Centinela, I see glimmer of hope for the cleanliness, organization of care teams, professionalism of LVNs, RNs, NPA,Social Workers and others. The level of care has drastically improved since our last visit in April 2025. Each of our previous visits rated 1 of 5 stars. This visit the ER developed an adequate plan of care, clearly communicated the plan, provided clarity of what treatments were provided and why. The nurse was diligent in confirming which medications were taken at home. Our loved one was treated with dignity and respect throughout our overnight stay. The number of interactions with doctor teams increased 100%. Previously, withina 24 hour period, we received zero visits from pulmonology or cardiology. Consistent with this visit, we did receive visits from respiratory therapists. Finally, the floors, counters and tables were routinely wiped, sanitized and cleaned without request. Our confidence is greatly improved because of Peyton and Nancy. We are pleased at the progress and the improved staffing levels.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible care provided by the CVICU team at Centinela Hospital. A close family member was admitted after suffering a heart attack, and thanks to the skill, dedication, and compassion of this extraordinary team, he is now leaving the hospital alive, stable, and well. That is something we will never take for granted. From the moment we arrived, the doctors and nurses in the CVICU demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism, expertise, and humanity. Every step of the process was handled with care, clear communication, and genuine concern--not just for the patient, but for our entire family. I would especially like to recognize Mayleen, Sharlyeen, Melissa, Raven, and Sophia. These nurses went above and beyond in every sense of the word. Their attention to detail, calm reassurance, and constant advocacy for my family member made an incredibly frightening experience feel manageable. They took the time to explain what was happening, answered every question with patience, and treated our loved one with dignity and kindness at all times. What stood out most was that this level of care wasn't limited to just our family member. While in the unit, we witnessed the same compassion and dedication extended to every patient. It is clear that the CVICU team at Centinela is made up of highly trained nurses and physicians who truly care, and it shows in everything they do. This team deserves the highest praise and recognition from the hospital and the community. They don't just save lives--they support families, provide comfort during the hardest moments, and deliver care with heart and excellence. Thank you to the entire CVICU team at Centinela Hospital. We will forever be grateful.

Don't go to the Inglewood pump track and take a spill--if you do, you'll be lucky to end up at Centinela Hospital. Everyone I interacted with, from the security guard to my nurse Christian to the X-ray techs, went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Truly grateful for the care and kindness I received.

My fiance was admitted to the Telemetry Unit for 3-days, and we're grateful for the care he received. The RNs, CNAs, and especially our nurse practitioner, Cua, were professional, attentive, and truly helped stabilize him. NP Cua was informative, honest, comprehensive, and empathetic--his calm and approachable demeanor made a tough time feel a little more manageable. We felt like we could communicate with him honestly. Even though the unit was clearly busy, the nursing staff were friendly and showed good bedside manner during their routine check-ins. Huge shoutout to Nurse Lourna, Nurse Raphael, and Nurse Feli--they were very patient with us, attentive to our needs and questions, and created a space that made us feel safe and taken care of. I also want to thank the emergency room secretary and the security team--they were incredibly kind and patient during the admission process. My main concern was that we didn't see the attending physician or NP for over 27 hours after being admitted to Telemetry. Nurses told us different times about when the doctor might come, but ultimately we never saw the attending doctor--only the nurse practitioner, whom we met well into the second day. It was frustrating to wait so long for a diagnosis, especially since the nurses weren't in a position to give one. One other note: the telemetry unit wasn't very quiet. We could hear other patients shouting and one patient with no pants entered our room once asking for food. That said, we're thankful for the care my fiance received and appreciate the hard work of the team. With some improvements in provider communication and noise control, the experience could be even better. Visiting Hours are from 9 AM - 9 PM. However, you cannot visit during 7 PM - 8 PM.

I can't imagine what patients that don't have family advocating for them go through. They let patients sit in their urine and feces for hours. Forget to check on patients. Couldn't tell me if my family ate or not because she was sleeping, and come to find out she didn't and was really hungry. Read off wrong medications and symptoms. Unplugged catheter. The night before we were there for 5 hours asking for a wipe down until we did ourselves. Nurmes want to call security on you for not leaving right as they tell you, but it's scary to leave your loved ones there. We were supposed to be transferred to Kaiser twice but their response times to Kaiser's transfer team had them cancel it. Most nurses are nice but the procedures and care lack. We had listed said medications 3-4 times before 1 nurse finally entered them into system. there is just not enough empathy or care. just bodies.
