I am a medical student studying in Cyprus, and I fortunately completed a one-month clinical rotation with Dr. Chane in Huntington Beach, CA. From the very beginning, the experience was welcoming--Dr. Chane, along with Tiffany, Tina, the nurse practitioners, made it easy for me to integrate into the team and adjust to the U.S. clinical setting. During the rotation, I actively participated in patient care by taking histories, assisting with initial diagnostic plans, and becoming familiar with EMRs such as EPIC and CERNER. I also performed supervised physical exams and ECGs, and observed several vein ablation procedures and cardiac stress tests. This experience not only strengthened my clinical and communication skills, but also gave me meaningful insight and experience into the U.S. healthcare system. I am very grateful to Dr. Chane and his team for their guidance and support, and I would strongly recommend this rotation to other medical students seeking U.S. clinical experience.

I also gave a clinical presentation on cardiac amyloidosis, a topic of particular interest to me. This rotation provided both practical skills and meaningful insight into the U.S. healthcare system. I was also able to receive academic credit from my medical school for this rotation, contributing toward the requirements for my graduation. I am grateful to Dr. Chane and his team for their guidance and support.

As a medical student from the Philippines, I had the privilege of completing a month-long clinical rotation under the guidance of Dr. Chane. From day one, the environment within his practice--thanks to both him and his nurse practitioners, Tiffany and Tina--was incredibly inclusive and encouraging. By the end of the first week, I felt that I was confident talking to patients, reviewing their history and physical exam, creating a differential diagnosis/assessment plan draft all under Dr. Chane supervision My exposure wasn't limited to the clinic; I was also able to visit a underserved primary care community center in Santa Ana with the guidance of Dr. Bucci. Another key learning opportunity came through observing various vein ablation procedures conducted in the clinic. Which helped me grasp the clinical application of ultrasound guided venous cannulation, an essential skill for my residency I also delivered clinical presentation to the team, an experience that significantly enhanced my communication and public speaking skills. Dr. Chane was consistently supportive, offering insightful feedback on both my clinical performance and on navigating the ERAS application and Match process. This rotation was both educational and empowering. I'm sincerely thankful to Dr. Chane and would highly recommend this experience to any medical student looking to strengthen their application in preparation for residency.
