My health group approved this practitioner but after speaking with office staff to make an appointment, I will never be seen by him. They were rude and abrupt. It's like they were doing me a favor just by answering the phone. I appreciate that because they demonstrated how I will be treated in the future. Beware.
Though the physician himself appears to be knowledgeable his staff is terrible. They are extremely unorganized and execute poor communications with other medical offices and patients. In my experience with his office I the patient's POA had to do any and all work to become established under his care as my mother has been diagnosed with COPD and sue to her condition only has 12 percent function of her lungs. This included multiple calls to the office, sending records from a hospital stay and direct orders to have a follow up upon her return to her home state. The office continually misplaced or failed to locate documentation for her appointment. Now, weeks later due to another medical condition she requires clearance for an urgent surgery that is scheduled at Cedars Siani, Los Angeles CA- his office has failed to communicate with my mother or myself in a timely manner. Through a conversation today with his incompetent staff we have been notified that Dr Ahluwalia will be unable to provide such clearance and will need to establish care with another physician and obtain this before her scheduled surgery. Not only is this frustrating but it is directly affecting her ability to have her brain surgery which could result in loss of life. I would not recommend this office or physician to anyone looking.
I've called them to make a appointment at least 50 times I get a busy signal or nothing or a operator who tells me to call back so I go threw the same thing over. I did get threw once for them to tell me they don't take choice group which is a lie. They have my referral and x rays. What a waste of time. I've been trying since may 31 and it's now June 6
