Dr. Sonali Mondkar

I always feel heard after my visit with Dr.Mondkar. She gives great feed back and goes the extra lengths to address all of my concerns and needs. I finally found a doctor I feel completely comfortable with and believe has my best interest at hand. Thank you Dr.Mondkar for you personable and professional care.

Dr. Mondkar was very helpful and spent plenty of time with us in this first "get to know you" visit. I'm pleased with her as our new physician. In addition, Mariella, the technician that greeted us and took our vitals was also very good!

She was personable but she didn't strike me as knowledgeable. For example, I told her I drank a lot of herbal (non caffeinated) tea. She said that didn't count towards daily hydration, it has to be water. (Another doctor at this practice said it all counted when we were worried my elderly father wasn't drinking water.) If that doesn't sound right, how can I trust her on things I know nothing about? Another issue we had: She also asked why we were asking for prescription refills when we still had pills. I said, "You want us to wait until the last minute when we run out? The pharmacy will keep the prescription and fill it when we run out." But no, she didn't send it. I called the doctor's office last Tuesday and the office staff said she didn't even show my mom's med in her chart for them to send it to the pharmacy. (I talked to her nurse about it and then the doctor about the prescription.) They said the doctor would be in all week. I called the pharmacy on Friday, still no prescription. I called today (Monday), pharmacy had no prescription so called office again. The office showed my message from last week, that the doctor didn't respond to. So I made another doc appointment with her to get the prescription. She put me in the position I didn't want to be in.. scrambling for a blood pressure medication that my mom cannot run out of. Hubris. I don't like know it all doctors that don't listen to their patients. When I lived in a bigger city, my GP graduated with honors from a well known medical school and my surgeon graduated number 1 in his known medical school. Both were so good about listening to patients so they didn't miss anything. I felt very confident in them and trusted them. There are good providers in this practice, as well, but Dr. Mondkar is not one of them. I'm surprised with all the 5 star reviews, but notice there is no detail with them.

Dr Mondkar is very informative and clear on what steps is needed to improve your health. She is shows REAL concern about your Healthcare, and she takes the time to make sure that you understand what your labs are indicating and what is needed to improve your health I really like her style of taking care of her patients and I feel that with her care I can achieve a better chance of living a healthier life. Superb, professional but kind and listens! Then she follows up with ordering lab tests or equipment. She doesn't assume because you are old that is the cause of your pain or concern. I am thrilled to have a Dr. finally that will actually help. I felt I was heading for the pearly gates but evidently am not. In the meantime I am reassured that nothing serious can be found, That a remedy is available that will help. Cannot praise enough!
