The ER was fantastic. Worst experience ever once I was admitted to the hospital !! I've never seen so many horrible RN's and or CNA's.
Don't get me wrong, there were a few good ones who I credit for me not leaving AMA.
Your hospital has some of the dumbest rules I've ever encountered.
I attribute the terrible nursing experience to being understaffed, underpaid and over worked!
In place of cooking steak dinners and lunches for staff, pay them better, hire more RNs and CNAs. Have them be floaters, available to back fill any floor or wing when needed!
If you want better staff, pay better and actually counsel and discipline the ones who don't perform well.

All the staff doctors, nurses CNA's were all very helpful. It's just when he needed help and returned on his light that it took forever for somebody to come and help him. The bad part is that we were right across from the nurses station, and everybody walked by. They could hear the beeping and they could see the light and nobody stopped in.. I know that each room has their own nurse assigned to them, but when he called The person on the intercom said will contact your nurse. Will contact your nurse. Will contact your nurse.

I was there to give lab draws and EKG. Waited an hour to check in. Then waited almost 2 hours for actual draw and EKG. It's not the fault of the lab, to me there has to be a better process to get people in and out much more fluidly. That's all. P

The doctors and nurse practitioner were very caring and attentive. The nurses that cared for me were great. Even the aides were good.
