Patient
Wow.. I have never been forced to leave a hospital while still in pain from a back injury. I arrived in the ambulance since I could not get up off the floor in extreme pain. No pain med was admitted in ambulance due to my allergy. Once I arrived the ER doctor did not seemed interested in helping me (he did not even speak with me). I do understand that more emergency situations were possibly happening but please keep me informed and have me a priority also. He did not speak with me at all except after waiting 4 hours in pain to release me. Throughout that time I was asking for help with my pain since I was having issues due to the pain. Still nothing. The nurse told me she had to beg and bother him again and again to get 1 pain pill. Once I spoke with the doctor I thought I was going still be helped since my pain was at a level 9 and nothing helped. A few minutes later a new nurse came in saying I was being discharged from the hospital and to wait in the "waiting room or outside". I informed them that I was still in extreme pain and could not really move, but they just said "I'm sorry" and continued tell other nurses to move me. I further informed then that I was not happy with what is happening and kicking me out with helping me. Again all I heard from all 3 nurses that got involved were "I'm sorry". Unfortunately I'm sorry that I chose that hospital and never again. Overall I was not able to get off the bed to get into my chair without assistance from another male nurse. The nurses left me in the hallway in the ER not a waiting room and I was actually left in front of custodial room where I was moved since the employee needed to get in. Still in pain, I left without help. I was not mean, rude, or anything but kind about the situation. Don't send your loved ones here if you can go somewhere else! I would not want them to be treated like I was. Luckily I recorded the interaction of me getting kicked out to show how they treat their patients.
