Providence St. Jude Medical Center

The Emergency Department has cockroaches I was there on Sunday 8.10.25. The large cockroaches at least 6 of them scattered in the Emergecy Dept Lobby B115. I was in the ER bed behind a curtain looked up a live cockroach in the florescent light cover. Medical is great staff doctor and testing the facility appalling. I have been a patient there for over 30 years I'm still in shock. Talked to the hospital admin on Monday nobody seemed to care and acted like they didn't care about roaches in the ER environment bathrooms in the Emergency Dept in the basement beyond filthy. I'm heartbroken writing this.

I can't believe the other dumb fake reviews. St Jude saved me , twice. All staff were like heaven sent angels during the worst pain and time of my whole life. They were fast, so kind and patient , and I received world-class care on more than occasion.

Very rude personal no empathy towards patients starting with the two ladies at the front desk. One of the ladies was making fun of a patient that was trying to get his medical Records. His English was not very clear. As soon as he left both of them were making fun of the way he was speaking. The only person that was nice to me and my family member was the lady that took us to the "fish tank" to wait for the nurse to have the test done.

Had hernia surgery here back in September 2023 and everything went very smoothly. The pre-surgery tests, the surgery itself, and follow-up were easy to set up and went without a hitch - and the surgeon, anesthesiologist and nursing staff were great. It's rare to be impressed with the medical system these days, so I was pleasantly surprised.
