Brought my friend here after going to urgent care. Urgent care said they needed blood work and liver imagining. The urgent hair office called over so the ER was excepting us and had gotten the run down. The ER got us in quick but we never got the liver imaging, even though liver blood work was out of range. The doctor never introduced himself. I thought he was a nurse. He hardly stepped into the room. When I asked about the liver stuff being out of range he said it's probably from drinking. We told multiple people that we don't drink but didn't seem to believe us. I felt very belittled when I asked questions. The nurses came in and told us if my friend could take liquids without vomiting we'd be discharged in about an hour. Our ride lives over an hour away so I texted them. Next thing you know we're pushed out to be discharged. I asked about the liver labs but was brushed off. We had to wait in the lobby full of people while we waited for our ride. My friend was asleep in the room. After discharge they were curled up in a 3 foot long chair in pain unable to sleep. We asked if we could have blankets or anything but were bushed off and told the lobby is nice to wait in. I have been in many lobbies that are better.
Another thing that disappointed me was that our room was right next to the nurses station. We could here them the whole time complaining about patients, laughing about people, and bragging about how quickly they were discharging people. It felt like we were numbers, not people. The only thing that made this trip not awful review was a golden nurse who actually listened and cared, but she was temporary because our other nurse was on break.

Northbay was absolutely fantastic to me. I came in with horrible abdominal pain and Dr. Bonzi and staff got me pain meds on board and were so attentive to me. I'm so incredible proud to have them as our community hospital. A special thank you to my wonder ER Nurse Jaclyn and ER tec Alana Harris. Both of you showed such compassion in my time of need. Thank you for being the light I needed on that dark moment!! Ohh and my room was clean so EVS here rocks also!

Had to have been the worse hospital experience I've ever had in 31 years.. and it wasn't about the wait time. That was the only good thing, it was quick based off my severity. I get to the back and it was a disaster!! MY discharge papers were given to someone else which was written in Spanish and the nurse still tried to give it to me after they touched it and as if I could read Spanish. Only after I said I didn't wanna touch it because they had it that she went and brought me a new one. So unsanitary!!! And then the same nurse that gave them my papers gave someone else someone else's papers!!! The nurse that put on a liquid bandaid on my finger told me it would last for one week, literally came off in two days!!! And I asked, she didn't inform me of that OR mention my xrays. Doesn't the doctor come in to speak to you??? Just said how the results would be in the discharge papers

I was a patient at northbay hospital 1600 unit for a week, when I got home I discovered that all the money in my wallet was stolen out of my purse they thought it to be a bag by a member of the nursing staff. I am pretty sure I know which nurse/CNA IS THE THEIF. Sad thing is as a patient at my lowest i trusted the staff and now how would I ever be able to trust any of the nursing staff due to one theif.
If you are admitted to northbay for any reason especially on the 1600 unit do not trust anyone.
It was bad enough the dr who preformed my surgery refused to check on me even though he spent all Wednesday at the hospital doing surgeries. Bone of the drs listened to me and the vps who did talk to me all became MIA. Now my life is ruined and no one at the hospital cares.

Bad experience. All three times my father was brought in for emergency care. Dad is veteran goes to VA but because of Real Id the ambulances can not go on to base.
In 2021 we will start. My dad 73, completely healthy, all ways active, intelligent, creative, master electrician, wrote books, always helping people, carpenter, teacher, my dad could do anything.
From time he woke up in morning until an hour or two before going to sleep was going. He rarely watched tv. He was like a machine.
Sept 2021 his shoulder was hurting. So went to get it checked at emergency Northbay.
The day before he road his bike from their house to YMCA, then to Suisun Walmart.
Of course Northbay did a Covid test on him. That was the last time his family would see him until two weeks later because they locked him in Covid ward and doped him up on lorazepam and two other pills. Worst of all, the REMDESIVIR that my brother and I said not to give dad. The only reason my dad is still alive was my friend a nurse at different hospital, looked up and printed everything they were doing to my dad.
I called and said, WE WANT OUR DAD HOME. This isn't the first time I called but this time I read his chart off to them everything that was happening. The guy on phone, first denied what I was saying. Until I started reading even the times he was give medications.
My dad was brought home with an ambulance next morning.
Was heartbreaking and infuriating at same time. My dad was lifeless, eyes crossed, tongue hanging out, face was as if he had a stroke while in hospital.
I got my dad able to talk, eat, walk, helped him to learn to use toilet again, I try my hardest because we all want our strong amazing dad back. We didn't trust any hospitals after this horrible incident. I was happy I got him enrolled with VA benefits so we could get help. That's when we found out because of the Remdesivir he now has 11 kidney stones. Keeps getting UTI's from the stones. The doctors can not get stones out because of his poor health.
Now let's go to recent Aug 8,2025
Dad was acting confused and weak, couldn't get out of bed. Dad was taken by ambulance to Northbay for possible uti and delirium. Which he did test positive for uti. Dad was given Augmentin 875mg to clear uti.
I did not know a side effect of AUGMENTIN was it might give you an INFECTION IN his INTESTINES.
On Aug 19,2025 my dad collapsed. We had no idea what was wrong. He's had 3 nurses come to the house and all said he looked good. The day of me calling 911 a nurse was at our house, said he looks good. If he has any pains then drive him to base hospital. I kept telling the guy my dad is not confused like this and my dad can walk (with walker)he dances daily, he jokes around, he loves my dogs, he's a happy go with the flow type of guy. So after nurse left I told my mom. I know there is something wrong and I called 911(4:00pm) The hospital stay was the worse, food is gross and not cooked good. They left him in a urine soaked, bowel diaper until I called to check on him 7:00pm. Nurse told me to be there in an hour to pick dad up. I asked did you find what's wrong? She said his blood looks he has infection so I'm waiting for your dad to pee so we can check his urine. I was shocked!! My dad was just at Northbay 8/8-8/10.
I told her what do you mean you're waiting for him to pee? My dad is in a diaper he doesn't feel if he has to pee or poop. Did you look at his chart he was just there? She said, oh I didn't know. My mom and nurse cleaned up my dad around 7:30pm. Finally the doctor called me and told me he has infection in his intestines C-Diff. I asked why when he just got out of hospital and just finished the medication you prescribed for uti, and checked his bowels on first visit he's septic and could of died. Doctor , said they will continue testing him.
I told her the Augmentin he just finished causes intestinal infection.
Now the medication he's on for infection can cause you too get UTI. I swear Northbay is trying to kill him off. We picked up my dad and he's sore, red with rash and they left purewick on him.
