Providence Medical Group Eureka - Cardiology Diagnostic Center

I have an unknown genetic issue with my heart. I felt cared for and heard from the minute I stepped into the door with the front desk. They were professional, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and kind. A big shout out to medical assistant? Autumn. She took more care and paid more attention to detail in making sure everything was noted correctly. She took the time with me. I have not experienced that level of quality in any Humboldt medical facility. The doctor I had was very good and is running all the appropriate tests. I am hoping to find answers. I have no doubt with this office, I will. We now have cardiologists who rotate in. (from larger cities) They have a plethora of experience, knowledge, and surgical skills. We are very lucky to have this in Humboldt! I would have given a 5 but the furniture in waiting room was pretty... well used

Had pace maker surgery, the cardiologist surgeon said he didn't believe in hooking up all the pacemaker leads."You could go the rest of your life w/o all leads attached." Soon after started getting electrical shocks in my chest. Enough to make me flinch. Neurologist said that was bad medical practice. Another ER surgery to attach all leads. A nurse told me later "He always does that. Everyone knows." Hospital promoted him to head of cardiology. He recently retired w his own practice in Eureka.
