Dr. Chen is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Adult Echocardiography. He received his MD degree from UCSD and his PhD in Bioengineering from UCLA. His Internship and Residency were completed at UCLA where he also completed his Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship. Dr. Chen went on to complete his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center-New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Chen is a Cardiologist at Pacific Cardiovascular Associates Medical Group (PCA). Dr. Chen is responsible for PCA's Structural Heart Disease Program, which includes TAVR, MitraClip and the latest structural heart disease interventions.

Dr Chen is a kind, caring doctor. He is great wirh elderly people. Very patient and he listens, which is very important with older folks.
4 years ago, Dr. Chen placed multiple stents in my aunt's (Pari N) heart and arteries. I saw my aunt today for lunch and she insisted for me to write a follow-up review for Dr. Chen. Apparently, she had a full checkup & scan last week & she said that Dr. Chen called her personally to go over the test results. She wants me to write about how caring, skilled & unique Dr. Chen is who truly treats each patient like his own family member. Additionally, after my good experience with Dr. Chen, I took my mom to him for stent placement.
