My wife and I was in the emergency room because my wife had coughs and hard to breathe. My wife was seen by Dr. Roy after a long wait. Dr. Roy just gave my wife a short check on the back and mouth then he was on the phone and left the room. We were waiting inside the room without knowing what to do next. Dr. Roy came back with a quick talk then he again was on the phone and left the room. We again left inside the room for a while without knowing what was next. I was running out of my patience and looked for someone to help. The receptionist was there but kept talking on the phone without paying attention to me at all. I found a nurse on the walk way to get help then she said she would look for someone to help us. I saw Dr. Roy was standing at the receptionist table but he didn't even look at me at all. I felt frustrated and went back to the room and told my wife to be ready to leave if no one came to help us. Finally one male nurse showed up and gave us the paperwork then we left the room. We were at the emergency situation before but this is the worst experience that we have never had from a doctor. My wife didn't have a good treatment from Dr. Roy. It was "very unprofessional manner". From my understanding, Dr. Roy spent more time talking on the phone than he would spend time taking care of the patient. I was wondering that was because we are Asians that was why we didn't have a fair treatment like everyone else from Dr. Roy. Thanks for reading my review. Hope this would help to change the doctor attitude toward patients.

Hello, I'm a visitor of John Muir and I also go to Mount Diablo High, the staff know me pretty well, I went to the John Muir cafe pretty much everyday during the school year, my name starts with J. I used to take a 6:30 bus to school, during my time in the morning I came to John Muir, specifically their Cafe, I loved it here at John Muir, my favorite day to come there was on Thursdays, that's when they have hashbrowns, my friends at school really like the cookies and Hashbrowns from John muir, the staff were so nice to me, the staff were very respectful and loving, I haven't met any other staff but the security and the ones that work in the cafe, and purely based off the way they treated me, I would definitely assume that the nurses and doctors would treat you no lesser.

The staff here is phenomenal, the nurses (Joe, Manny, Tracie to name a few) are ever so gentle and caring and our Dr (Dr Rabae) was the best we could've asked for. The whole process is seamless and very efficient. They treated my father with utmost respect and care and made a difficult phase of life that much more tolerable.

Mini-rant incoming...
Had a fantastic doctor today -- super genuine, actually listened, even had this little device picking up what I was saying. Thought that was neat.
But here's my issue: doctors, in general, are way too unaware of how heart rate connects with perception. Dropping my heart rate is easy. What's hard is realizing the hospital can't offer psychiatric help because of insurance -- but they'll hand you blood pressure meds like candy. That's INSANE.
My doctor suggested PTSD. Maybe. But honestly, it feels more like I'm finally coming out and telling doctors what's been going on inside me.
So why now? Not because doctors are lazy or don't care. Most are hardworking. The problem is the system -- it doesn't teach them how the body actually works as a system.
And here's the stark warning: "Luigi" is just the first.
When a system keeps pushing people to the edge, someone eventually breaks. If you think it ends with one, you're not paying attention.
TLDR: Some doctors are amazing for moral support, but too often they're just parroting what the system wants them to say. And unless something changes, "Luigi" won't be the last.
