Cardiovascular Institute of San Diego is the worst clinic you could possibly go to. I had a Cardiac Cath done less than 72 hours ago. I called the office stating I was having intestinal bleeding and severe abdominal pain that started the night before and rather than have someone call me back or calm my nerves they insisted I schedule an appointment and pay another $50 consult fee when I should have had a post op appointment within 24 hours after the procedure, no one called to check up on me. The staff is rude and clearly uneducated on how to deal with post procedure questions. I shouldn't have to schedule a doctors consultation immediately after they went digging around in my heart to discuss what may be a potential complication from the procedure and/or if I should be seen by someone immediately. Next email is going to the Medical Board. Never in my life have I had this type of experience with any of my medical providers. I will never go back to them and I would never recommend any of my friends or family visit this clinic or their doctors. A medical professional should have spoken to me immediately about my possible post procedure complications. Totally and completely unacceptable to tell me I need to schedule an appointment to discuss them.
