I am writing this review with deep disappointment regarding the treatment my husband received from Dr. Mondragon at his practice. What should have been a routine and respectful medical appointment quickly turned into an experience marked by insensitivity and clear discrimination rooted in my husband's disability. Rather than showing the compassion and professionalism expected of a healthcare provider, Dr. Mondragon displayed a dismissive attitude, failed to engage directly with my husband, and made several inappropriate comments that left us both feeling dehumanized and disrespected. It was clear from the outset that he was not being treated as an individual but rather being judged and marginalized because of his condition.Healthcare providers have a responsibility to uphold dignity and equity in their care, and this experience was a painful reminder that not all practitioners meet that standard. I share this review in hopes of raising awareness and encouraging accountability.

I have been seeing Dr. Mondragon Jr. for several years (and also his father, who is a cardiologist). Both are dedicated to what they do. Their approach is practical and direct. That doesn't bother me because I want them to focus on my physical condition and find a solution. I don't go to the doctor to be pampered. I find the medical assistants kind enough and the receptionists too. It's true that sometimes you have to wait longer, but that's not exclusive to that office; it's happened to me repeatedly with other doctors.

BEWARE! My grandmother has been going with this Dr for many many years. Something was off so we transferred her to a new Dr., when they checked her medication, Dr Mondragon prescribed the same prescription over an dover by different brands. She was taking extra doses of the same medication, she had around 20 prescriptions and a new Dr brought it down to 3. Now she has Cirrhosis of the liver with many complications. This Dr should not be practicing medicine.

Honestly their lack of care and respect for the patients boggles my mind. I work in healthcare as well and could never treat or speak to my patients the way I was spoken to. Dr. Mondragon is very kind but his staff seems very unhappy with their jobs. I work at the same time they're open which makes it difficult for me to visit the office for paperwork. I called on multiple occasions to get help with my lab and referral orders sent and nothing gets done. I feel bad for the older patients having to deal with the rudeness and lack of compassion from the ladies there.

Ive been going to Mondragon Jr for about 8 yrs. I had an appointment with Doc Mondragon Jr. @ 10 am today 3/28/24. I showed up at 945am and checked in. I was on my phone and next thing I look up and it was 1040am. It's not the first time he's been late but not THIS late. I asked the front desk where doc was and they said that he hadn't shown up yet and they didn't know anything else. No apologies that he was running late. No communication. I asked for a refund of my deductible and informed the front desk that I was done with the doc and I wouldn't be returning. It is now 5pm and still no call to apologize or to let me know what happened.
