Sutter Urgent Care

This the best urgent care that I have ever visited & used. All the staffs that I met was knowledgeable & courteous. I cannot speak for the cost of the services because I have received the bill yet. If I ever need urgent care, I will definitely return, not that I am looking forward to have another health issue.

Everything about my visit was great! Reason was for an infection on my finger. It was easy to make an appointment, call back time was quick, the procedure was painless even though it involved needles. The two-person prep team were friendly & efficient, made me feel right at home. Doctor Laura Velez Irizarry was excellent, explaining what the problem was (with my finger), what she would be doing to address it. She had a great sense of humor as an added bonus! "Seamless" and "pleasant" are good descriptions of my visit. Thank you!

Very happy! I went in for strained muscles in my back. Signing up for an appointment online was very easy. They honored my arrival time and got me into see a doctor with little waiting time. I then needed x-rays. They had the facility on site and were able to take me in right away. The staff was very friendly and the doctor answered all of my questions.

I want to report a serious issue with how I was treated by one of the nurses. I arrived by ambulance, and I was in a lot of pain due to muscle spasms. The waiting area was loud, but the nurse came to me and, without even asking what was wrong, told me, "Can you keep it down? I know you're in pain, but we have women and kids here." I didn't say anything because I was shocked. He asked where my pain was, and I told him it was in my back. After that, he left me there for about an hour. I asked for water and asked others if they could let him know I needed something for the pain. He ignored me and was laughing and making jokes with other nurses about my pain. I didn't even get the cup of water I asked for until about 40 minutes later. The hospital was not busy, and he was only taking care of me at that moment. It felt like he didn't believe I was in pain until I started crying. When the doctor finally came, he was very kind, gave me medication, and ordered X-rays and a scan. I understand doctors can be busy, so I have no issue with him. However, the way the nurse spoke to me, ignored my pain, and made jokes made me feel disrespected and discriminated against. I couldn't help but feel it was because I am Hispanic and not fluent in English, even though I understand and speak it well. Healthcare is very expensive, and every patient deserves respectful and professional treatment, especially in moments of pain and vulnerability. This experience was extremely hurtful and unacceptable.

I was seen by the nurse within minutes of entering the clinic, and only waited a few more minutes to be seen by the doctor. The doctor was very thorough in her examination and in questioning me about my symptoms. She was able to treat my symptoms of pain immediately, and gave me a prescription for long term treatment. Then a third person came in with my paperwork and explained exactly what I needed to do to follow up. I was extremely pleased with the care and respect I received from all three of the personnel I interacted with.
