Dr. Shah walks into the room, tries to relax me with a smile. Asks how is my health, and I give her the update. She gets to the computer and I could tell she has read my file and prepared herself for our meeting. She like my overall progress, but not so much my A1c. We discuss progress on my health and she gives and takes suggestions for improvement. She checks my breathing and decides after that, to modify my current medication and she also orders some lab tests. She leaves the impression that she is brilliant and compassionate. She smiles again as she leaves the room. Difficult not to like her professionalism.

Dr. Shah is great. She takes the time to explain what's going on and what steps to take and then lets you ask all the questions you may have.

Dr Shaw is very through in looking after my health. She answers all of my questions and takes the needed time without rushing me out.

I find Dr. Shah to be kind, compassionate, personable and knowledgeable. She has a calm demeanor and she answers all of my questions with care. She also responds quickly to my concerns and requests via the Sutter messaging system. I am most grateful that she is my cardiologist.

Dr Shah has been a phenomenal cardiologist for me. However, in the past two years, her team has an incredibly rude and unprofessional administrative person checking patients in and screening all emails addressed to the doctors. During my 2024 appointment, I was skeptical about this assistant. Two days ago, April 2025, I was confronted by rudeness that should NEVER be the front person to such an awesome team of cardiologists. When she could not pronounce the medication that I was taking, she said, "Oh, whatever." When there was a technical issue with my video appointment with Dr. Shah, she said, "That is not my problem. You will just have to figure it out." She also screens all emails written to the doctors. I wrote to Dr. Shah asking if she could follow up with approving a refill that I requested a week ago, and that Walgreens had faxed her office twice for an approval, the same assistant wrote back to me saying, "The nurses will get to this and contact you in a couple of days." Oh well, could be the medicine that I am waiting for keeps me alive. Fortunately it is not. I am reluctantly changing to another cardiologist. If my doctor cannot or does not have a first hand communication with me, where I can ask questions and/or express concerns, I believe I need to change up.
