Patient
Dr salvo is a wonderful person and a great doctor in my book one of the best... But it takes a team to make a good doctor and I'm having severe problems with the referral department not communicating extra information the doctor's requesting from me thereby sitting on somebody's desk while I'm sitting here waiting for help for my needs... My DME I requested was denied by the medical supply store and I didn't find out until I called them personally when they told me they had already notified my doctor's office it wasn't covered and I never heard a single word about it... Also my home health care that I am in desperate need of help with my ADLs.. nobody is following up to ensure I get timely assistance and the paperwork sits on somebody's desk and nobody calls me to get all the information requested... Like I said I have the utmost respect for Dr salvo but her office personnel leave a lot to be desired as far as following up on patient care. Secondly I am on a Ventolin inhaler for my COPD that is necessary when needed to help me catch my breath and they wrote the refill a little different and the pharmacist just needed clarification and there again it sat on somebody's desk for two or three days without trying to make sure the problem got taken care of so that I could receive my medication.. nobody followed up on it and I had to make myself a pain in the butt by calling not only the pharmacy to find out what the problem was but also the doctor's office to explain to them what the problem was in filling my Ventolin... I am now in my fourth day without my inhaler so I am trying not to do anything at all to strenuous... I had to call the office this morning and request an emergency refill that I could pick up at a local pharmacy because I have home delivery and it won't be for another 6 days before I get my rental in from them... There again nobody volunteered to help walk this through to make sure I got my medication It just sat there.
