Dignity Health Urgent Care Atascadero is a quick, convenient alternative to the emergency room for urgent medical needs that are not life-threatening. Our team of doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals can take care of coughs, colds, allergies, fevers, sinus infections, burns, lacerations, sprains, infections, fractures, sports and DOT physicals, vaccinations, and more. Lab and x-ray services are also available on site. We are open evenings and on Saturday. Patients of all ages are welcome, including kids and most insurance plans are accepted. We are located at 5920 W Mall in Atascadero, near City Hall.

Only reason I came here is their supposed sliding scale. I was told over & over that because of my income level & lack of current employment, my visit would be $25. I paid the $25 & got a simple prescriptionfor some antibiotics. A month later, they send me a $267 bill. Straight up evil bait & switch. Horrible.
I came in for Urgent Care as I have over the last several years. My personal Dr is Dr Tidwell who practices out of the Urgent Care. I was dropped of for a walk in visit like I have done before and I was told they do not take walk-ins. The website says "walk-ins are welcome". They said next available appointment in 2 hours. Empty lobby and parking lot. I saw 1 client. They couldn't even accommodate a Drs client with no ride. Needless to say, I won't be visiting here for care again and will be finding a new Dr.
The PA Kristen here is so kind & is helping fill in between all the steps of my crazy medical life. She got a big dose of mess when she took me on as a patient but I appreciate her trekking with me & listening & honoring my concerns as we go.
Front office staff/ nurses were so friendly. Dr was very knowledgeable and kind. I was in and out quickly. I recommend them 100%
I was diagnosed, treated & out the door in less than one hour. The PA that saw me was excellent. She explained the diagnosis & how to take the medication ordered. Thank you!
