Kaiser Permanente Antioch Medical Center

My experience was very pleasant. It was my first, so there was a bit of anxiety and apprehension. The staff were all very warm and welcoming. There was a balanced mix of light-hearted humor and care that made me very comfortable and feel that I was in great hands. The gentleman in the rolling workstation was hilarious, and the Nurse's and medical assistant were so pleasant and attended to my concerns. My Dr. was very direct but at the same time very comforting. Top notch care!

The procedure was quick (routine colonoscopy), completely painless and the nurses/doctor all did a great job of alleviating any anxiety I had by explaining the process. I was out and on my way home literally 90 minutes after we parked. Test came back all good and I got one of the best 30-45 minute naps of my life. I was even allowed to bring headphones so I could listen to my own relaxing music.

Everything went so incredibly "smoothly", and it was over before I knew it. Everyone, especially Dr. Regalia, was super professional and amazing at their jobs. The hardest part was having to drink the prep fluid over 2 hours in the middle of the night. Otherwise, this was way easier than I imagined.

This review is for the Labor and Delivery unit. I gave birth to my precious son a week ago here on 8/21. If I had to do it all over again tomorrow, I would. I had an amazing first time experience. Every person involved in my care was exceptional. However I want to acknowledge two people in particular--my nurse Mecka who helped deliver my baby was wonderful, always there whenever I needed her and made me feel as comfortable as I could, and Tomi, the midwife who delivered my son. THANK YOU for advocating for me and making me feel so safe and secure. I am so so happy I decided on Antioch Kaiser to deliver my baby. Thank you all so much!

I was nervous about the unknown and the colonoscopy prep was intense. I was awake for the entire procedure and it was so interesting. The Dr. was so good at it and he was vocal throughout the procedure. I was blown away at his skill level and how efficient he was. I really wish I could request him if I need this again. He entered the room with positive energy and good vibes. He listened and didn't act like he didn't want to be there. The NP and nurse were very friendly and I felt comfortable. The ones who help me prepare were very upbeat and patient with me. I no longer am nervous about doing this again if needed. It was like watching a sci-fi movie and I have a very good memory of the entire experience. I can now feel that I can tell others that Kaiser has a great team. When I arrived at Kaiser a really sweet person walked me to the elevator because I was lost and that same sweet woman wheeled me out to my ride. I'm a ginger and that is probably why I didn't fall asleep and why I remember the entire experience. I have chronic pain and only had an hour of sleep while preparing so I was surprised that I didn't fall asleep and glad I didn't because it was so interesting.
