Family drives two hours from Bakersfield to bring their elderly father to Dr. Ginkel. Poor guy runs into some problems and is 13 minutes late for the appointment. The rude staff here gives the elderly man the boot, and the family made the long trip for nothing. My friends ask me "You take your father to Ginkel? WHY?" I don't know why. When I tried to discuss the issue, they refused to address any details until the balance was paid in full. They wouldn't even consider a payment plan as a valid solution, which felt extremely rigid and dismissive. To add to the frustration, even after paying in full, it seems they reserve the right to deny future services based on their own discretion, which feels callous and unprofessional. For a healthcare provider, this approach strikes me as unethical and uncaring, especially toward patients who depend on them for essential care.
