His license should be taken away. His arrogance gets in the way of him practicing medicine. My adult children begged me to sue him, but he is not worth the time. He wants patients that never ask questions.

We would love to see Dr. El-Shafei, he says he's accepting new patients but unfortunately the decision has been made to take away our right to choose our own doctor. After an ER visit and several follow ups we made the decision that the doctor treating my husband wasn't the right fit...no transferring doctors allowed. A decision they have made on patients behalf. We will be using our rights to choose our own doctors at another hospital and network. Unbelievable...we do still live in America.

Dr. El-Shafei is a true gem for NWA. He is an exceptional cardiologist who has cared for most of my family as well as myself. My father has 12 cardiac stents and Dr. El-Shafei placed his last 3. Prior to seeing Dr. El-Shafei my father was told he would need a second bypass surgery which I felt he would not have survived. He truly cares about his patients and always tries his best to find a solution to any problems a patient presents with.
