Gross. Dirtiest hospital I've ever been in can't wait to go home. Staff are okay for the most part, communication is not good between staff however. People yelling up and down the halls all night while you're trying to sleep, and this is in the ICU step down not the ER where you expect it to be loud and crazy. Also, expect to ask multiple times and wait hours to get simple items like a Band-Aid or slippers.
I would not choose to come back to this hospital.

Literally the absolute worst hospital stay I've had in my entire life, and I've had a few. The doctors listened to absolutely nothing I had to say about my condition. And even though I haven't been able to eat in days and I'm not producing urine, they sent me out the door just because my numbers look good. They treat the number not the patient because the patient is just one big dollar sign to these people. Every hospital I've been to has made sure I'm able to drink and pee before I leave so that I don't end up right back, this hospital cannot follow even the most simple standards of practice. I tried to talk to administration, a patient advocate, and case management and was ignored by all of them too. This place is a joke. Don't bring your relatives here they'll just make them sicker.
You didn't read what I said. I said I did talk to them. Now I've been home for a couple days and still can't keep food and fluids down so I'm basically waiting to die so you guys might actually help me.

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally report and document a serious failure of care I experienced in the Emergency Department at Baptist Hospital. The circumstances surrounding this visit raise significant concerns regarding patient safety, triage protocols, staff professionalism, and quality of care.
I presented to the Emergency Room with active chest pain, left-sided weakness, and an irregular heartbeat. Given these symptoms--and my background in the medical field--I was legitimately concerned that I was experiencing a stroke or cardiac event. Dr Walls acted as if he was lost,
Told me he didn't even know what was wrong with me, but he gave me a prescription for steroids and pain pills that's it. While we were waiting in the room, R.N. came in and said she apologise for what happened upfront and she would take care of it. I simply said okay because I already knew that I would never come back to this ER again. And I knew nothing would be done about it and to have someone just to snatch my leafs off me was unbelievable
Despite the severity of my symptoms, I waited over three hours in the waiting room without any bloodwork, labs, or initial evaluation being completed. Both my husband and I approached the front desk multiple times and were repeatedly told that I was "next." However, no action was taken.
When I was finally taken to the back, the attending physician immediately asked whether bloodwork had been drawn. It had not. This question alone underscores a breakdown in emergency triage and communication, as chest pain with neurological symptoms should warrant immediate assessment and diagnostic testing.
While waiting, I observed front desk staff engaging in non-work-related behavior, including laughing, eating, and leaving the desk unattended, while patients with acute complaints remained waiting. This behavior was unprofessional and inappropriate for an Emergency Department setting.
The manner in which I was treated at discharge was also unacceptable. The nurse removed my EKG leads by forcefully pulling them all off at once, causing unnecessary discomfort. This is neither standard nor respectful patient care and is not something I would ever do--or instruct others to do--in a clinical setting.
The only positive aspect of my experience was the professionalism and care provided by Cardiologist Dr. Thomas Connely. Unfortunately, his care was overshadowed by the overall Emergency Department experience, which was alarming and deeply disappointing.
I am requesting that this incident be formally reviewed by hospital administration and quality assurance. No patient presenting with chest pain and neurological symptoms should be left unattended for hours without evaluation. I am particularly concerned that this type of delay could result in serious harm or loss of life for another patient.
I expect this complaint to be taken seriously and addressed appropriately. I would appreciate follow-up regarding the outcome of any review or corrective action taken.
Sincerely,
Mrs Wicks

Also very clean!
Wasn't a huge fan of the discharge lounge but they were also very busy. I would recommend this hospital

I'm a patient at Arkansas Cardiology and the staff are very nice. Dr.Turkmani is great! He is very knowledgeable, professional and explains things where I can understand it. My husband and father also use this clinic and are pleased with it.
