Dr Fred Meadors botched my father's fem- fem bypass surgery from the beginning and ultimately my father died from complications. Two days after surgery developed compartment syndrome. Dr Meadors did not recognize this complication as he should have. It was found by PT during their therapy and she alerted the surgeon. They had to slice open my dad's leg. Two separate 10inch long incisions were made to release the pressure and prevent amputation. My father had multiple surgeries to go back and redo grafts, reopen femoral artery. Multiple trips to the emergency room. Nothing but complications. Eventually his leg was amputated and he died 2yrs after the original surgery from his peripheral arterial disease. Do not go to Dr Meadors or his son Dr Stephen Meadors. Go to UAMS Cardiovascular surgeons.

My mother was Med Flighted to CHI Little Rock...he and his team took her even as risky as it was. They put in a Heart pump that gave her every chance to make it. We feel that he and the staff at CVICU did everything in their power to save my mother. They were so kind to us. Only reason they don't get 5 stars is because ultimately she didn't make it but...I truly feel they did all they could. I would highly recommend Dr. Meaders and the the CVICU staff.
