Apparently if your doctor leaves the clinic you are no longer a patient there at least that's what I was informed of when I called this morning to find out why my meds weren't being refilled. The receptionist was very rude and acted as if I should just know that. When I asked to schedule with a new physician she stated not here we're not taking new patients. I asked how I'm new I've been a patient for 2 years to which she responded I could ask my primary care doctor for a referral to mercy clinic. Update: I received a call from a nurse a couple days ago she was very nice and explained the situation and that it was a misunderstanding and that I was still a patient there and she would have a receptionist call me to schedule with a new physician.

I have always been well taken care of at this clinic from the time I walk in to the time I walk out. Everyone from the receptionist to my Dr. have been amazing to me as a patient and my husband as well. We are now both in good health thanks to all of them.

The doctors themselves are amazing but the receptionist and the nurses, that's a completely different story! They do not listen at all to anything you say when you call in. You can tell them what you're calling about and then 20 minutes later after you get off the phone call you can check your my chart summary notes and they will say something completely different than what you called about. Every time I see that happen I can't help but think no wonder I had a heart attack when I was reassured by the APN that I was in no danger of having a heart attack. I am personally looking for a new cardiologist. Again, the DOCTORS, not the APNs, the cardiologists there are amazing but again I'm tired of dealing with the staff and the nurses that act like they got their head in the clouds and don't know what's going on. I'm also tired of my appointment being scheduled at 8:00 and at 10:00 I'm still sitting in the lobby waiting to be called back so I don't get out of there until you know noon or 1:00 and that's just too much time. I feel like they have no regard for the fact that I have a life outside of their office. If I'm more than 15 minutes late, they cancel my appointment and charge me a no show fee but they can be as late as they want to be.

Reading thru the reviews and I find myself in agreement with most of them. I had my heart attack in 2013. Since then I've had 3 different doctors. And this last one I saw was a not even worth driving the 30 minutes over and then sitting for over 2 hours. He walked in, told me to quit smoking, which I had, and walked out. Didn't know what was going on, for example, my not taking my blood thinners for other medical reasons wouldn't even let me talk. He didn't even ask how I was. Considering I hadn't seen a cardiologist in 6 months, you'd think they'd at least want to know. It's like there is no personal attention. No true caring by the staff or the doctor. I'm just a chart number. My time is as important. As is my health. The staff really wasn't any better. I HAVE to go today. I'm praying I'm treated like a human and not chart number.

So frustrating!! My husband has had his appointment rescheduled 5 times and I delayed going OTR (we are truckers) for my appointment which they rescheduled last minute. This is affecting our health because we aren't able to ask our employer to continue to change our schedule on the whims of these doctors. They need a better system.
